Notes on Myself

I have kept notes in one form or another for most of my life. They started as margins in guidebooks, then became a series of battered notebooks, and now because the notebooks keep getting lost and the handwriting keeps getting worse they live here. The medium changed. The impulse did not. I write things down so that the doing of them is not entirely gone.

Content Publishing Rules

A couple of rules I usually go by when publishing a post

  • No generic content.
  • No generative AI content.
  • No venting.
  • If a post does not fit one of the five categories, it does not get published.
  • Avoid verbosity unless it’s unavoidable; lengthy paragraphs are redundant when they can be expressed concisely.

What are the five categories?

The notebook is organized into five categories. They are the only sorting I use in this site.
